Abstract

Métodos para producir estos nuevos compuestos de imidazol y un método que emplea estos nuevos compuestos de imidazol en la preparación de (R)-3-(2-desoxi-beta-D-eritro-pentofuranosil)- 3,6,7,8-tetrahidroimidazo[4,5-d][1,3]diazepin-8- ol(pentostatina). De acuerdo con la invención, pueden producirse sales de adición de ácido de 6,7-dihidroimidazo[4,5-d][1,3]diazepin- 8(3H)-ona haciendo reaccionar una disal de adición de ácido de 2-amino-1-(5-amino-1H-imidazol-4-il)etanona con un compuesto capaz de donar un grupo formilo, tal como (alcohilo inferior- O)3CH, (acil-O)(HN=)CH. HX, (alcohilo inferior-O)CH.HX, (NH2)(HN=)CH.HX, etc, donde X es un anión.
