Abstract

A method of handling products consisting of producing or depositing products on boards 2, and then of stacking the boards supporting the products, is characterised in that boards are used which have feet 18 forming a projection in an upwards and/or downwards direction, which projection is at least equal to the height of the product above the board and in that the boards are stacked by superimposing them by means of said feet, in the form of a stack which can be handled by means of a fork-lift truck. With this method it is possible to produce, handle and store stacks of products without a separate support structure and without crushing the stacked products. Jacks 26 raise a loaded board to the bottom of a stack supported on pivoted stops 27. The boards and products are separately unloaded from the top of the stack. The products may be of concrete. Alternatively the "boards" may be mushroom boxes.
