Abstract
Un procedimiento para la preparación de un tablero de virutas de madera, en el que se seca una materia prima de virutas de madera en partículas, se mezcla con un agente aglutinante y se conforma después en un tablero, caracterizado porque: (a) el contenido de agua de la materia prima de virutas de madera en partículas se ajusta a un primer nivel deseado; (b) las partículas de la materia prima de viruta de madera se revisten sobre una porción sustancial de su área superficial con un aglutinante, poniendo en contacto la materia prima de virutas de madera con una solución, suspensión o dispersión de un agente aglutinante en un disolvente, con lo que se aplica como revestimiento sobre la materia prima menos el 15% en peso del aglutinante, basado en el peso seco de la materia prima de viruta de madera; © el contenido de agua y otros disolventes volátiles de la materia prima de partículas revestidas se ajusta a un segundo nivel deseado; y (d) la materia prima así tratada se conforma en una esterilla al azar u orientada formando un tablero de virutas de madera bajo la influencia de calor y presión.
