Procedimiento mejorado para la preparación de ácido 4- hidroxifenilacético, caracterizado porque a) se hace reaccionar otro-clorofenol con ácido glioxílico para formar ácido 3-cloro-4-hidroxi-amigdálico, b) se reduce el ácido 3- cloro-4-hidroxi-amigdálico para formar ácido 3-cloro-4- hidroxi-fenilacético y c) se separa el cloro a partir del 3- cloro-4-hidroxi-fenilacético.
