Abstract

Método y su correspondiente aparato para ionizar partículas de un tipo de isótopo elegido en un ambiente de tipos de isótopos múltiples cuyo método se caracteriza porque incluye las etapas que consisten en: excitar selectivamente las partículas de dicho isótopo elegido hasta un nivel inferior a su nivel de ionización; aplicar a las partículas excitadas fotones de energía suficiente para excitar las partículas sustancialmente superior al nivel de ionización, teniendo dicho estado de ligazón un tiempo de vida corto, aunque determinado, sustancialmente inferior a un nanosegundo antes de descomponerse en un ión y un electrón liberado; cubriendo la energía de dichos fotones una gama de energía sustancialmente superior al cambio de isótopo de los isótonos de dichos tipos de isótopos múltiples incluyendo el tipo de isótopo elegido y centrada en una cresta de absorción para dichas partículas, que es superior por lo menos en un orden de magnitud a las energías de absorción de los fotones inmediatamente adyacentes.
