Abstract
Un aparato para fabricar un aro de pistón dividido, en donde el aro tiene una superficie lateral externa generalmente cilíndrica y superficies superior e inferior que se extienden radialmente hacia adentro, que consiste en combinación de: (1) un miembro de trabajo que tiene una superficie de segmento esférico; (2) un medio para hacer girar el miembro de trabajo alrededor de un radio de la superficie del segmento esférico; (3) un accesorio de restricción para retener el aro de pistón con sus extremos divididos topando ya sea con la superficie superior o con la superficie inferior expuesta, (4) un medio para desplazar axialmente el accesorio a lo largo de una trayectoria que es coincidente con el eje del aro restringido y un radio de la superficie con el eje del aro restringido y un radio de la superficie del segmento esférico del miembro de trabajo giratorio para colocar la superficie expuesta del aro de pistón restringido en relación de trabajo con la superficie del segmento esférico, y (5)un medio que proporciona un revestimiento abrasivo sobre la superficie del miembro de trabajo para lograr la rectificación de la superficie expuesta del aro restringido.
