Abstract

Procedimiento para la fabricación de un granulado de vidrio celular o espumoso que presenta un tamaño de grano de 0,2 a 3 mm, de 10 elevado 6 hasta 10 elevado a7 de oquedades de vidrio por centímetro cúbico de masa de granulado y peso vertido de 100 a 500 gramos por litro y en el que diámetro de las oquedades máximas de vidrio es esencialmente menor que 0, 1 milímetros, caracterizado porque las primeras materias se muelen para convertirlas en harina, esta harina se incorpora mezclándola con un medio expansor orgánico que desprende gas en el calor, moldeando a partir de la mezcla un granulado crudo con un diámetro de grano de 0,1 hasta 1,5 mm y este se calienta en un horno de flotación o vibración durante un tiempo de 5 a 130 segundos a temperaturas de 600 hasta 900 grasos centesimales, en lo que el granulado obtenido de vidrio celular se separa del horno antes de que las pequeñas oquedades producidas primariamente durante la expansión , puedan reunirse en medida esencial formando oquedadesde gas mayores.
