Abstract

Procedimiento para la preparación del acetaldehído, medio reacción sobre metanol de una mezcla que comprende hidrógeno y monóxido de carbono, representando el hidrógeno al menos un 25% en moles, a una temperatura mínima de 165ºC y en presencia de una cantidad eficaz de cobalto, caracterizado porque la citada reacción se lleva a cabo en presencia de un yoduro iónico por lo menos y cuando menos un halogenuro covalente, eligiéndose el catión del yoduro iónico entre el grupo que está constituido por los cationes de metales alcalinos, cationes de metales alcalinotérreos, cationes de amonio, cationes de amonio cuaternario, cationes fosfonio y cationes fosfonio cuaternario, siendo mayor o igual a 5 la relación I- /Co (en átomos-grano) y estando comprendida entre el 0,1 y 10 % la relación X/I- (en átomos-grano) donde X representa un átomo de halógeno procedente del halogenuro covalente.
