Abstract

Se ha descubierto que la compactación de datos mejorada en un archivo de diccionario para verificación automática de deletreado y separación en sílabas puede conseguirse creando una técnica para eliminar prefijos y sufijos de la palabra y almacenar solamente la raíz singular o forma básica de cada palabra. Esta tecnia ese útil como mejora para cualquiera de las técnicas conocidas de reducción de capacidad de memoria, incluyendo la codificación de coordenada diferencial, la codificación de huffman y las representaciones vectoriales, porque reduce el número de entradas al archivo requeridas, mientras que las otras técnicas reducen la capacidad de memoria de cada entrada. El sistema de tratamiento de raíz fónetica incluye una función de acumulación según la cual se recopila el archivo de diccionario, y una función de recuperación según la cual se establece acceso al archivo de prefijos y sufijos "legales". Cada prefijo y sufijo de la lista tiene asociado un conjunto de reglas codificadas que gobiernan las circunstancias textuales en las cuales se investigan los prefijos y sufijos.
