Un tren submarino para el transporte de productos de poca densidad y fácil manejo, caracterizado por estar constituido y compuesto por una serie en número variable de unidades de transporte que se relacionan articularmente entre sí, y son conducidas en inmersión a profundidades variables por medio de un remolque que se establece indistintamente desde un barco que navega en la superficie, o desde un submarino que avance en su mismo nivel; teniendo en ambos casos el elemento tractor la potencia proporcional a la carga que ha de arrastrar, así como una capacidad de bodega acondicionada para llevar en ella plegadas y estribadas las unidades que compongan el tren cuando se monte para la carga.
