Una puerta compensada, caracterizada por que tiene sus largueros y peinazos seccionados en el sentido de la altura de la puerta, obteniendo así dos medias puertas o bastidores que, una vez alojado entre ellos el panel o superficie análoga se unen mutuamente para formar la puerta completa, a cuyo efecto los citados largueros y peinazos tienen igual espesor, quedando el panel a los haces con por lo menos uno de los cantos de la puerta.
