POR LAS ABERTURAS (38) SE REALIZA LA ALIMENTACION DE LA CELDA (10), MEDIANTE ARCILLA DE ALUMINIO, Y POR LOS CANALES LATERALES (40) TIENE LUGAR LA EVACUACION DE GASES ANODICOS, GENERADOS DURANTE EL PROCESO DE ELECTROLISIS. PARA COMPLETAR LA TAPA SE DISPONEN VARIAS PLACAS DE COBERTURA (70), MOVILES E INCLINADAS, A LO LARGO DE LAS CARAS LONGITUDINALES DE LA CELDA (10), DISPUESTAS DE MANERA QUE PARTE DE ELLAS PUEDAN DESLIZAR POR ENCIMA DE LAS OTRAS CON EL FIN DE DEJAR LA CELDA PARCIALMENTE AL DESCUBIERTO.
