PROCESO PARA LA PRODUCCION DE UN PRODUCTO DE ALUMINA EXENTO DE HIERRO, SILICIO Y TITANIO A PARTIR DE MATERIALES QUE CONTENGAN ALUMINIO. SE SOMETE EL MATERIAL PORTADOR DEL MINERAL DE ALUMINIO A SEPARACION MAGNETICA DE ALTA INTENSIDAD. SE ELIMINA EL CONCENTRADO MAGNETICO, QUE CONTIENE HIERRO Y TITANIO. SE SOMETE A LA FRACCION NO MAGNETICA A DESENLODADO, QUEDANDO UNA FRACCION MAS GRUESA, LA CUAL ES DESHIDRATADA. A ESTE MATERIAL DESHIDRATADO SE LE SOMETE A LA PRIMERA ETAPA DE CLORACION CON UN AGENTE DE CLORACION QUE COMPRENDE ESENCIALMENTE CLORURO DE ALUMINIO. LOS COMPUESTOS DE HIERRO EXISTENTES SE CONVIERTEN EN SUS CLORUROS. LOS SOLIDOS RESIDUALES SON SOMETIDOS A UNA SEGUNDA CLORACION, COMPRENDIENDO EL AGENTE CANTIDADES DE HIPOALIMENTACION DE CLORO O FOSGENO. SE RECUPERAN LOS SOLIDOS PROVENIENTES DE LA SEGUNDA ETAPA, QUE SON ESENCIALMENTE UN PRODUCTO DE ALUMINA EXENTO DE HIERRO Y TITANIO. AUN SE SOMETE A UNA TERCERA ETAPA DE CLORACION, SIENDO EL AGENTE ELEGIDO ENTRE CLORO Y FOSGENO. SE ELIMINAN LOS PRODUCTOS GASEOSOS DE CLORACION, QUE SON SOMETIDOS A UNA CONDENSACION Y DESTILACION PARA PRODUCIR CLORURO DE ALUMINIO Y TETRACLORURO DE SILICIO EXENTOS DE HIERRO, SILICIO Y TITANIO.
