CONSISTE EN PREPARAR UNA SOLUCION EN BENCENO SECO A PARTIR DE 16-ALFA-HIDROCARTIXOLONA, A LA CUAL SE LE AÑADE 2-3-DICLORO-5-6-DIACIANOBENZOQUINONA, REFLUJANDOSE LA MEZCLA RESULTANTE DURANTE CUARENTA Y DOS HORAS, FILTRANDOSE Y LAVANDOSE EL PRECIPITADO CON BENCENO Y PASANDOSE A UNA COLUMNA DE ALUMINA, QUE POSTERIORMENTE SE LAVA CON CLOROFORMO. OPCIONALMENTE, ESTA REACCION PUEDE REALIZARSE POR VIA MICROBIOLOGICA, UTILIZANDO UN CULTIVO DE UN MICROORGANISMO DE LA ESPECIE CORYNEBACTERIUM SIMPLEX, SUSPENDIDO EN UNA SOLUCION DE LAURIL SULFATO DE SODIO, ACUOSA AL 0,001 POR 100.
