UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA OBTENCION DE CLORURO MAGNESICO ANHIDRO Y SULFATO POTASICO. EL MINERAL DE PARTIDA ES CARNALITA Y CONTIENE CLORURO MAGNESICO Y POTASICO Y/O SUS HIDRATADOS. SE OBTIENN UNA SOLUCION COMPLETA DE CARNALITA EN AGUA, SEPARANDOSE POR FILTRACION CUALQUIER PROCIPITADO NO SOLUBLE EN DICHA SOLUCION. DESPUES SE AÑADE ELILENGLICOL EN UNA CANTIDAD TAL QUE DISULEVA TODO EL CLORURO MAGNESICO PRESENTE, OBTENIENDOSE UNA SOLUCION DE ETILENGLICOL-AGUA-CARNALITA. SE PROCEDE ENTONCES A LA DESHIDRATACION DE ESTA SOLUCION POR DESTILACION DEL AGUA, OBTENIENDOSE UNA SOLUCON ANHIDRA DE CRLORURO MAGNESICO EN ETILENGLICOL DE HASTA UN 2 POR 100 DE CLORURO POTASICO Y UN PRECIPITADO DE SULFATO ANHIDRO, EL CUAL PRECIPITA UN COMPLEJO DE CLORURO MAGNESICO ANHIDRO-AMONIACO, QUE SE FILTRA Y SE LAVA CON UN DISOLVENTE DE BAJO PESO MOLECULAR DEL ETILENGLICOL. POR FIN, SE CALIENTA EL COMPLEJO RECUPERADO A UNA TEMPERATURA SUFICIENTE COMO PARA ELIMINAR TODO EL AMONIACO.
