SOBRE EL CHASIS VA UN COMPARTIMIENTO (5), ESTANCO AL AGUA, CONTENIENDO EL MOTOR Y LOS GRUPOS DIESEL-ELECTRICOS DE EMERGENCIA Y PROVISTO DE TUBOS (6, 7) PARA ESCAPE DE GASES. EL TECHO DEL COMPARTIMIENTO (5) TIENE ABERTURAS (16, 17) CON PESTAÑAS PARA MONTAJE DE CILINDROS (18, 19) CASO DE TRABAJAR CON EL RECINTO (5) SUMERGIDO. DE ESTA FORMA, SE PUEDEN ALARGAR LOS MEDIOS DE CONTROL A NIVEL SUPERIOR PARA SER ACCIONADOS POR OPERADOR. EN LA APERTURA (17) SE DISPONE DE UN VENTILADOR DE ENFRIAMIENTO.
