CONSISTE EN LA HIDROLISIS, CON UN ACIDO O UN ALCALI ACUOSO EN CONDICIONES SUAVES, DEL CORRESPONDIENTE COMPUESTO CIANO, CUYO ATOMO DEL NITROGENO 1 DEL ANILLO ESTA PROTEGIDO POR UN GRUPO ADECUADO QUE PUEDE SER SEPARADO; O EN LA ALCOHOLISI DEL MISMO, SOMETIENDO A REFLUJO EL COMPUESTO CIANO EN UN ALCOHOL, EN PRESENCIA DE CLORURO DE HIDROGENO.
