PROCEDIMIENTO PARA EL TRATAMIENTO DE HIERRO FUNDIDO CONTENIENDO CARBONO Y AZUFRE, PARA PRODUCIR UNA FUNDICION CON UNA ESTRUCTURA DE GRAFITO VERMICULAR. CONSISTE EN AÑADIR AL HIERRO FUNDIDO, DE MANERA SIMULTANEA, HASTA UN 0,3 POR 100 DE PESO, REFERIDO AL CONTENIDO DE HIERRO, DE UNO O MAS METALES DE TIERRAS RARAS Y MAS DE UN 0,2 POR 100 EN PESO, REFERIDO AL CONTENIDO DE HIERRO, DE CALCIO; SIENDO LA CANTIDAD AÑADIDA DE METALES DE TIERRAS RARAS DEL ORDEN DE DOS A OCHO VECES EL CONTENIDO EN AZUFRE DEL HIERRO FUNDIDO. LOS METALES DE TIERRAS RARAS Y EL CALCIO PUEDEN AÑADIRSE AL HIERRO FUNDIDO SEPARADAMENTE O MEZCLADOS. EL CALCIO PUEDE A/DIRSE COMO CALCIO METALICO, AUNQUE PREFERIBLEMENTE SE AÑADE COMO ALEACION, TAL COMO SICILIURO DE CALCIO O ALEACION DE NIQUEL
