Abstract

In an electronic circuit-breaker tripping system including a combined rectifier and voltage multiplier circuit, an energy storage device, a pulse generator and a switch which controls the winding of a tripping device (e.g. as described in GB 2037509), the rectifier and voltage multiplier circuit and the pulse generator are grouped together and are arranged in an IC module 30 which is substantially of brick-shape construction and is connected as an integral component member to the casing 25 surrounding the tripping system. Thus, the size of the system can be greatly reduced.
