LA CENIZA PROCEDENTE DEL FONDO DEL HORNO DEL GENERADOR DE VAPOR (10) PASA A UNA TOLVA (14) DONDE UNAS TOBERAS (40) PROYECTAN AGUA SOBRE DICHAS CENIZAS PARA FACILITAR SU ARRASTRE HASTA LAS ABERTURAS (18, 20) QUE DAN ACCESO A DOS DEPOSITOS LONGITUDINALES (26, 28). CADA DEPOSITO CONTIENE UN TRANSPORTADOR DE RASCADORES (30, 32) DISPUESTO POR DEBAJO DEL NIVEL DE AGUA, QUE CONDUCE LA ESCORIA HASTA UNA BOCA DE DESCARGA. CUANDO SE AVERIA UNO DE LOS TRANSPORTADORES SE REALIZA EL CIERRE DE SU COMPUERTA CORRESPONDIENTE (22, 24), PASANDO EL OTRO A TRANSPORTAR LA TOTALIDAD DE LA CENIZA.
