PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA OBTENCION DE 1,4: 3,6-DIANHIDRO-D-GLUCITA-5-NITRATO. CONSISTE EN LA ACETILACION DE 1,4: 3,6-DIANHIDRO-D-GLUCITA CON 0,5 A 1,5 EQUIVALENTES MOLARES DE ANHIDRIDO ACETICO, EN PRESENCIA DE UN CATALIZADOR BASICO TAL COMO PIRIDINA, EN UN DISOLVENTE INERTE NO MISCIBLE EN AGUA; ELIMINACION DEL 1-4: 3,6-DIANHIDRO-D-GLUCITA-2,5-DIACETATO DEL DISOLVENTE Y DE LA PIRIDINA, NITRACION CON ACIDO NITRICO E HIDROLISIS CON UNA BASE INORGANICA. ESTE COMPUESTO TIENE APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS PARA EL TRATAMIENTO DE ENFERMEDADES CARDIACAS CORONARIAS.
