PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PREPARACION DE ESMALTES ENDURECILBES CON ACIDO, CON EMISION DISMINUIDA DE FORMALDEHIDO. CONSISTE EN AÑADIR AL ESMALTE, ANTES DE SU ELABORACION, PREFERENTEMENTE DE MODO SIMULTANEO CON EL CATALIZADOR DE ACIDO, DE 1 A 6 POR 100 EN PESO(REFERIDO A RESINA SOLIDA) DE ETILEN-UREA (IMIDAZOLIDIN-2-ONA),PREFERENTEMENTE EN SOLUCION DILUIDA, DE COMO MAXIMO AL 30 POR 100 DE PESO EN ETANOL O EN OTRO DISOLVENTE. LA TEMPERATURA OSCILA ENTRE LOS 10 Y LOS 30 C. LA DETERMINACION DEL FORMALDEHIDO SE EFECTUA. FOTOMETRICAMENTE POR ADICION DE SOLUCION DE CLORURO DE HIERRO III AL 10 POR 100. LA EMISION DE FORMALDEHIDO SE REDUCE EN MAS DE 50 POR 100, NO QUEDANDO INFLUIDAS LAS PROPIEDADES DEL ESMALTE.
