Abstract

In a double-strand continuous casting plant having two open-ended dies (2, 3) arranged next to one another, wide side walls (4, 5) and narrow side walls (6, 7) adjustable to various strand dimensions (14, 15) are provided, side guide rollers (21, 22) being present below and in line with the narrow side walls (6, 7) of the dies (2, 3). To adjust the strand widths at both dies (2, 3), in each case only the outer narrow side walls (7) are connected to an adjusting device (12) and the outer side guide rollers (22) are adjustable to the same degree, whereas the inner narrow side walls (6) and the inner side guide rollers (21) are arranged fixedly with respect to the dies.
