CONSISTE EN TRATAR LA FIBRA O TEJIDO LAVADO CON UN COMPUESTO QUIMICO REDUCTOR, OXIDANTE O ALCALINO, CAPAZ DE ROMPER EL PUENTE DISULFURO DEL AMINOACIDO CISTINA, DE MODO QUE SE FORMAN GRUPOS IONICOS EN LA CUTICULA DE LA LANA Y SE VARIA EL COEFICIENTE DE FRICCION DE LAS FIBRAS. EL TRATAMIENTO SE LLEVA A CABO CON EL REACTIVO EN CONCENTRACION DE 2 A 30 G/I, A UNA TEMPERATURA DEL BAÑO ENTRE 30GC Y 75GC. TIENE APLICACION PARA MEJORAR EL ENCOGIMIENTO DE VICUÑA, CACHEMIRA, MOHAIR, LLAMA, ALPACA Y LANA.
