Abstract

The automatic wrapper is for single items such as loaves, using a single sheet of plastics material. A conveyor (2) brings the bread (3) against the wrapping sheet (7), with the load length parallel to sheet unrolling. A roller (6) divides the sheet and there is an arm (9) pivoted around an axis parallel to sheet unrolling. Another roller drives the sheet with intermittent movement and there is a station (11) to weld and cut the sheet. The two latter are on the pivoted arm end. This equipment is duplicated (13) to cut and weld perpendicular to the first set.
