SE HACEN REACCIONAR PEROXIDO DE HIDROGENO E HIDROXIDO DE METAL ALCALINO EN FORMA DE AEROSOL, SIENDO LA PROPORCION MOLAR DEL PRIMERO AL SEGUNDO DE 1,3:1 HASTA 2:1 Y A UNA TEMPERATURA QUE CORRESPONDE AL MENOS A LA TEMPERATURA DE DISMUTACION DEL ADUCTO DE PEROXIDO DE METAL ALCALINO CON PEROXIDO DE HIDROGENO. LA REACCION SE EFECTUA EN PRESENCIA DE GAS SECO LIBERADO DE CO , APORTANDOSE DICHO GAS SECO EN DOS O MAS CORRIENTES PARCIALES Y SIENDO CALENTADA AL MENOS UNA DE LAS CORRIENTES PARCIALES ANTES DE LA ETAPA DE REACCION. SE UTILIZA EL HIPEROXIDO DE POTASIO COMO COMPUESTO DONADOR DE OXIGENO, POR EJEMPLO PARA LA REGENERACION AUTOMATICA DE AIRE RESPIRABLE.
