SE HACE REACCIONAR LA HIDROQUINONA CON EL ACIDO CLOROSULFONICO CON LO QUE SE OBTIENE EL CLOROSULFONATO DE HIDROQUINONA EL CUAL SE HACE REACCIONAR POSTERIORMENTE CON CARBONATO DE CALCIO EN SUSPENSION ACUOSA. LA CLOROSULFONACION TIENE LUGAR EN PRESENCIA DE CLORURO DE TIONILO. EL AISLAMIENTO DE LA SAL DE CALCIO TIENE LUGAR POR DISOLUCION EN CALIENTE EN 2-METOXIETANOL. LA SAL DE CALCIO PUEDE RECRISTALIZARSE EN AGUA CON LO QUE SE OBTIENE LA SAL CONTENIENDO UNA MOLECULA DE AGUA.
