EL APARATO DISPONE DE DOS FUENTES DE LUZ Y SUS RESPECTIVOS RECEPTORES PARA DETERMINAR EL COMIENZO Y EL FIN DEL TIEMPO DE LA COAGULACION, Y UN DISPOSITIVO PRODUCTOR DE PRESION DE AIRE PARA MOVER LA MEZCLA MUESTRA DE SANGRE-REACTIVO. INTRODUCIDA LA MUESTRA (31) SE AÑADE EL REACTIVO HASTA EL NIVEL QUE SEÑALA LA FUENTE DE LUZ Y RECEPTOR (61), EN CUYO MOMENTO SE INICIA LA CUENTA DEL TIEMPO; POR ACCION DE LA PRESION DE AIRE SE MUEVE LA MEZCLA DESDE UNA CAMARA A OTRA (7, 8) HASTA QUE SE PRODUCE EL COAGULO (33) SOBRE EL BORDE AGUDO (3), CIRCUNSTANCIA INDICADA POR LA SEGUNDA FUENTE DE LUZ SITUADA A DICHA ALTURA.
