SE PONE EN CONTACTO POLIACETILENO CIS Y/O TRANS CON UNA SOLUCION LIQUIDA A UN PH SUPERIOR A 7 CON UNO O MAS DE LOS SIGUIENTES MATERIALES: A) ANTRAQUINONA Y/O UNA SAL DE LA MISMA, UNA BASE Y UN AGENTE REDUCTOR, B) PIROGALOL, Y C) HIDROSULFITO, ANTES, DURANTE O DESPUES DEL PROCESO DE ISOMERIZACION DE CIS-POLIACETILENO A TRANSPOLIACETILENO, CON LO QUE SE EVITA LA REACCION ENTRE EL OXIGENO Y LOS RADICALES LIBRES FORMADOS DURANTE LA ISOMERIZACION, LIMITANDOSE EL CONTACTO ENTRE EL TRAS-POLIACETILENO Y EL OXIGENO YA QUE ESTE PRODUCE UNA NUEVA FRAGILIZACION DEL MATERIAL Y REDUCIRIA LA POSIBILIDAD DE CONDUCTIVIDAD ELECTRICA.
