CONSISTE EN EL CALENTAMIENTO DE UNA DISOLUCION ACUOSA DE ACIDO ETIONICO A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 80 C Y 160 C DURANTE UN TIEMPO SUFICIENTE PARA PRODUCIR UNA DISOLUCION DE ACIDO ESTIONICO Y ACIDO SULFURICO; SEGUIDO DE LA NEUTRALIZACION DE LA DISOLUCION CON UNA MEZCLA DE HIDROXIDO CALCICO E HIDROXIDO ALCALINO, EN PROPORCIONES ADECUADAS PARA TRANSFORMAR TODO EL ACIDO SULFURICO EN SULFATO CALCICO Y EL ACIDO ISETIONICO EN ISETIONATO DE METAL ALCALINO; Y SEPARACION DE ESTE DE LA DISOLUCION.
