EL PROCESO EN CONTINUO, BASICAMENTE CONSISTE EN LA DESHIDRATACION, DE T-BUTANOL, PROCEDENTE DE UNA DISOLUCION ACUOSA DE 40 A 90%, EN FASE LIQUIDA HOMOGENEA, EN UN LECHO FIJO DE CATALIZADOR QUE CONSTA DE UNA RESINA DE INTERCAMBIO IONICO ACIDO FUERTE, A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 80 C Y 150 C Y A UNA PRESION ENTRE 5 Y 25 BARES. LA MEZCLA DE REACCION SE DESTILA, RECOGIENDO POR LA CABEZA EL ISOBUTENO, Y RECICLANDO EL T-BUTANOL NO TRANSFORMADO Y, EVENTUALMENTE, PARTE DEL AGUA AL REACTOR.
