EN LA PRIMERA DE ELLAS SE SOMETE UNA CORRIENTE DE ALIMENTACION, FORMADA POR UNA MEZCLA HIDROCARBONADA QUE CONTIENE ASFALTENOS, A UN TRATAMIENTO DE DESASFALTADO CON UN DISOLVENTE, TAL COMO UN HIDROCARBURO PARAFINICO CON 3-6 ATOMOS DE CARBONO POR MOLECULA, SIENDO LA PROPORCION EN PESO DE DISOLVENTE/ACEITE DE 7:1 A 1:1 Y OBTENIENDOSE UN PRODUCTO DEL QUE SE SEPARAN UNA FRACCION DE ACEITE DESASFALTADO Y UNA FRACCION DE BETUN ASFALTICO.
