UN METODO PARA PREPARAR UN ELECTRODO ACTIVO DE HIERRO. CONSISTE EN CALCINAR EL SULFATO DE HIERRO EN UNA ATMOSFERA OXIDANTE A TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 600 Y 850 C; SE PRODUCE OXIDO DE HIERRO CON VESTIGIOS DE SULFATO; EL OXIDO FORMADO SE CARGA EN UN SOPORTE ELECTRICAMENTE CONDUCTOR CON LO QUE SE FORMA UN SOPORTE CARGADO EN UNA PLACA DE ELECTRODO. DESPUES DE LA CARGA DEL OXIDO EN EL SOPORTE, SE CALIENTA EN UNA ATMOSFERA REDUCTORA A TEMPERATURA ELEVADA CON LO QUE SE OBTIENE HIERRO ACTIVADO CON VESTIGIOS DE SULFURO. EL SOPORTE EMPLEADO ES FIBRA DE METAL CON UNA REJILLA CENTRAL DE METAL DE HIERRO EXPANDIDO.
