Abstract

A radiation reflector, consisting of a reflector of suitable shape, e.g. in the shape of a trough having a parabolic cross-section or of a paraboloid of revolution, is supported by a concrete layer which either is cast and subsequently applied adhesively to the rear of the reflector or is cast onto the rear of the reflector. The concrete layer contains concrete reinforcing elements cast monolithically onto it, and the concrete preferably contains glass fibres as internal reinforcement. A method of producing the support structure is likewise specified. The reflector can be a solar collector or a radar antenna.
