Abstract

3-(2-Chloroethyl) 2-((2-chloroethyl)amino) 1,3,2-oxaza phosphorinano-2-oxide of formula (I) is made by (a) reacting a cpd. of formula (II) with 3-halo propanol to obtain a cpd. of formula (III); (b) this is reacted with phosphorus oxychloride to obtain 2-chloro 3-(2-chloroethyl) 1,3,2-oxazaphosphorinano-2-oxide; and (c) this cpd. is reacted with 2-chloroethylamine hydrochloride to give (I).
