Abstract

In mfr. of printing plates based on partial hardening of photo-sensitive resin interposed between a totally transparent film and a photographic negative, by means of U.V. light, the transparent film is now replaced by an opaque, flexible base. A major economy in resin is achieved, by better re-utilisation of unhardened resin. A flexible plate is obtd. which adapts perfectly to the drum of the printing press.
