METODO DE CALENTAMIENTO SOLAR DE AGUA UTILIZANDO CUBIERTAS. CONSISTE EN EFECTUAR LA CUBRICION DE LA SUPERFICIE DE LA MASA DE AGUA CON UNA CAPA FLOTANTE, CONSTITUIDA POR CIENTOS DE CUBIERTAS, CADA UNA DE LAS CUALES COMPRENDE UNA PARED DE PELICULA DELGADA DE PLASTICO TRANSLUCIDO QUE ENCIERRA A UN LIQUIDO TRANSLUCIDO Y A UN GAS TRANSLUCIDO. CADA CUBIERTA PRESIONA CONTRA SUS CUBIERTAS VECINAS, POR LO CUAL SU PARED FLEXIBLE DELGADA, SE CONFORMA CON LA FORMA DE LA PARTE CONTACTANTE DE LAS PAREDES FLEXIBLES DELGADAS DE LAS CUBIERTAS VECINAS. LA CAPA DE CUBIERTAS RESULTANTE PERMITE QUE LA RADIACION SOLAR ALCANCE AL AGUA Y AISLA TERMICAMENTE EL AGUA DEL AIRE.
