PREPARACION DE POLISACARIDOS COMO XANTANO Y OTROS POLISACARIDOS MICROBIANOS EN FORMA PULVERULENTA, SUSTANCIALMENTE SECA. CONSISTE EN SECAR, POR PULVERIZACION EN UN LIQUIDO NO ACUOSO, UNA EMULSION DE UNA DISOLUCION ACUOSA DE UN POLISACARIDO PARA PRODUCIR POLVO DE POLISACARIDO SUSTANCIALMENTE LIBRE DE LIQUIDO ACUOSO. DURANTE EL SECADO POR PULVERIZACION, EL LIQUIDO NO ACUOSO SE EVAPORA COMPLETAMENTE Y ASI LA EMULSION OBTENIDA NO ES CONCENTRADA, SINO POLVO DE TAMAÑO UNIFORME DE PARTICULA. EL CONTENIDO DE POLISACARIDO DE LA EMULSION ES DE 1 A 15% Y EL CONTENIDO DE POLISACARIDO DEL PRODUCTO EN POLVO ES SUPERIOR AL 80% EN PESO. SE USAN COMO VISCOSANTES Y EN PERFORACIONES.
