CONSISTE EN HACER REACCIONAR UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE UNA FORMA SOLUBILIZADA DE LA PROTEINA, A UN PH DE 5,5 A 9, EN PRESENCIA DE AIRE, CON AL MENOS UNA CANTIDAD EFICAZ DE UN CATALIZADOR DE OXIDACION QUE CONTIENE CATIONES CUPRICOS. LA FORMACION DE PRODUCTOS SECUNDARIOS ES MINIMA Y SE PUEDEN USAR CANTIDADES DE ACTIVADOR CATALITICAS O ESTEQUIOMETRICAS. PREFERENTEMENTE SE OXIDAN RESTOS DE CISTEINA.
