LA TEMPERATURA DEL AGUA SE REGULA AUTOMATICAMENTE EN FUNCION DE LA TEMPERATURA DEL PACIENTE, OBTENIDA MEDIANTE DOS SONDAS, UNA ESOFAGICA Y OTRA RECTAL SIEMPRE DENTRO DE UNOS PARAMETROS PREVIAMENTE ESTABLECIDOS. SI EL GRADIENTE MAXIMO SANGRE/AGUA PERMITIDO ES SUPERADO, EL CALENTAMIENTO O ENFRIAMIENTO DEL GAS ES INTERRUMPIDO, ADECUANDO EN ESE MOMENTO LA TEMPERATURA DEL AGUA, HASTA RECUPERAR LOS VALORES DE GRADIENTE PREVIAMENTE ESTABLECIDOS.
