Abstract

The invention relates to a gas-proof material which contains polyolefin and polyvinyl alcohol. Said material is produced by mixing 1-99% by weight polyolefin, in which 0.10-1% by weight carboxylic acid has been copolymerized or grafted, 99-1% by weight internally softened vinyl alcohol polymer and optionally 1-15% by weight softener in a molten state.
