Abstract
These compounds are of general formula (I):- (in which R and R' are H, alkyl opt. substituted, aryl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, all containing 1 to 6C atoms, or R and R' together with a nitrogen atom forming a heterocyclic ring, such as morpholino or piperidino; R2 is opt. substituted aryl, substituents being alkyl, alkoxy or halogen. R and R' may be alkyl substituted with hydroxy or tert. amine). Preferred compounds are 4-morpholinomethyl-1-phenyl-pyrazolidin-3-one, 4-dimethylaminomethyl-1-phenylpyrasolidin-3-one, 4-dimethylaminomethyl-1-phenylpyrazolidin-3-one oxylate, 4-dimethylaminomethyl-1-p-chlorophenyl-pyrazolidin-3-one and 4-piperidinomethyl-1-phenyl-pyrazolidin-one. From these 3-pyrazolidione compounds a polymer having the repeating units (III):-.
