Abstract

Cylindrical gas or air filter with active carbon packing.. N--. Consists of at least one filter chamber with feed and discharge connexions for free-flowing bulk material, and a flanged top, to which is attached in air-tight fashion as sieve part and connecting elements, having at least one feed or discharge chamber with at least one feed or discharge connexion for axial flow through the cylindrical filter chamber whilst turning the direction of flow approximately at right angles, in the connecting element. Each end connecting piece is a fore-chamber with a flanged side connexion fixed in airtight fashion on one side for axial flow therethrough and each intermediate connecting element is divided by a partition into two chambers, each having a flanged side connextion. The composite filter can have any number of chambers to give the required bed thickness and is readily charged and discharged. Particularly advantageous for use in ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
