Abstract

Combination of antioxidants which improve resistance of ethylene (co)polymers against thermo-oxidative degradation comprise a blocked 8-300C phenol, a 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline (which may be polymer), and a Zn-salt of an org. cpd. e.g. mercaptobenzimidazole, mercaptobenzthiol, an N-substd. dithiocarbamic acid or an N-substd. sulphide or polysulphide of thiuram. This antioxidant compsn has synergistic effect.
