Abstract

A new curable resin composn. contains (i) an epoxy resin with is not 2 2,3-epoxyisobutyl carboxylate gps. in the molecule and (ii) an amine or polycarboxylic cpd. hardener. At room temp. the pot life is sufficiently long to be of practical use. The epoxy resin can be hardened at >= room temp. to products with the usual epoxy resin props. The B-stage resin can be used as a moulding powder or as a pre-impregnant for laminates. The resins are used for moulded articles and in laminates. They are resistant to alkali.
