Abstract

The feeding bottle having a graduated contg. and a nipple, consists of a thin walled container of transparent plastic material coated internally with a film of plastic material resistant to the product, e.g. polyethylene, the upper part of the container comprising a rim and a nipple which is pierced before use formed from a thin plastic sheet, the nipple having a rim fixed tightly to that of the container and having a recess in its base, together with a thin walled plastic cap coated internally with a heat sealable wax and heat sealed to the rim of the assembly but provided with a tear strip. In use assembly is heated in a water bath, the cap removed using the tear strip and a hole formed in the nipple by means of a sterilised needle to allow the bottle to be filled. The botte is completely sterile.
