Abstract

Magnetic tape comprising (1) a support of cellulose acetate (esp. cellulose triacetate) or polyester (esp. polyethylene terphthalate) (2) a magnetic layer, and (3) an adhesive interlayer consisting of a terpolymer of 40 - 79 wt. % vinylidene chloride, 5 - 50 wt. % acrylonitrile or an acrylic ester, and 0 - 25 wt. % of a 1 - 8C unsatd. mono- or di-carboxylic acid, anhydride, ester, or amide. The tape has improved adherence of the magnetic layer to the support.
