Abstract

Continuous titration is by mixing a continuous stream of test soln. with a continuous stream of titrating reagent and supplying the mixture to an electrode delivering an electrical signal, corresponding to the pH value of the test soln. and comparing this signal in a differential amplifier with a standard value given by a reference potential source, the special features of the process being that the test soln metering pump is driven at constant power while the titration reagent metering pump motor is driven at constant rotary speed, the motor revolutions being controlled in direct proportion by the magnitude of the deviation produced in the differential amplifier between the measured and standard values.
