Abstract

Gauge measures the wall inclination of a continuous casting ingot mould. It has two branches whose angle about a common axis can be adjusted. One branch has a spirit level whose zero position indicates the position of the gauge's reference plane, and also bears a scale over which a pointer on the other branch moves. The other branch is applied against the inclined surface.
