Abstract

Food compns. for ruminants. Title compn. is prepd. by treating cellulose contg. material to remove lignin. forming a sheet and inserting a paste of a nutritive substance between two of the cellulose sheets esp. inserting the material and simultaneously corrugating one of the sheets so as to form transverse tubes and cutting the sheets to form a series of tubular pieces contg. the nutrient mix. The mix is prepd. from agricultural by products and supplies a support for the cellulose material thus allowing improved digestability of the cellulose.
